Companies can vary
greatly in size, and in the number of employees.;Obviously, a company with
5000 employees would require more telephone lines for employees using VTrak®,
than a company with 50 employees. VTrak® can be purchased with support
for four, eight, or twelve telephone lines. The number of telephone lines required
to process your calls depends on the following variables:
- The window of minutes available to Clock In/Out or to perform any other required
transactions via VTrak®. Another way to say this would be, the total
number of minutes available to complete the start of a new shift.
- Number of employees to Clock In/Out on shift change. This includes employee
comings and goings. Average length of one Clock In/Out.
- How many seconds does it require, on the average, for one employee to complete
one transaction. Use the following formula to compute the total number of telephone
lines necessary for VTrak®.
L = (E / M) / (60 / S)
D = ((E / M) / (60 / S))/4 (rounded up)

L = Number of Needed Telephone Lines
